2010 Ranger 173 Ghost
Stretching 17 feet 3 inches in length, the 173 Ghost is ideally-sized to quietly slip into the fertile flats and shallow coastal backwaters rich with saltwater game fish. Inside, the broad beam and roomy interior give the boat an even bigger feel. The wide open design makes it even easier to work big fish around the boat and the zero-slap hull engineering lets you move with extraordinary stealth. Elsewhere, oversized rod and gear storage is abundant while the recirculating aerated livewell/baitwell carries even more advantages with a high speed pickup and in-line filter. Rated for a maximum of 115 horsepower, the ultra-efficient 173 is quick on plane. Touting exceptional stability, the well-balanced design virtually locks onto the water for solid tracking and a smooth, dry, responsive ride. At the helm, factory-installed instrumentation includes speed, tach, fuel, trim and water pressure gauges along with the added confidence of fluid, hydraulic steering and digital switching. The easy to tow and stow design also includes a custom RangerTrail trailer with L.E.D. lights, torsion axles, swing-away tongue, center swing jack, and the extra protection of Ranger's exclusive oil bath C.O.O.L. hub lubrication system. Further equipped with stainless steel hardware, a self-bailing cockpit, anchor locker, poling platform and custom-fitted upholstery, the NMMA-certified Ranger 173 Ghost is built for optimum performance in the shallows.
